Syria Takes Its Place on the Regional Technology Stage at LEAP 2026

For the first time, the Syrian Arab Republic had an official presence at LEAP, one of the region’s leading technology and innovation platforms, bringing Syrian technology companies, entrepreneurs, institutions and talent together under one national pavilion in Riyadh.

Led by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Syrian Pavilion created a platform for Syrian companies and ecosystem players to showcase what they are building, connect with regional partners and open new conversations around technology, investment, talent and the digital economy.

For SYNC, LEAP was also an opportunity to turn these conversations into connections and opportunities for Syrian talent.

During the event, SYNC signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Saudi-Syrian Business Council, creating a foundation for deeper collaboration around connecting Syrian talent with employers, expanding employment opportunities, and supporting upskilling and capability-building for the next generation of Syrian technology professionals.

The wider SYNC community also proudly came together to support the Syrian Pavilion. SYNC volunteers and community members contributed their time, expertise and energy alongside the participating companies and ecosystem partners, working under the guidance of the Ministry to help make Syria’s first LEAP participation a collective effort.

That spirit is what made the pavilion meaningful: government, companies, entrepreneurs, diaspora and community coming together around a shared belief in Syria’s technology potential.

For SYNC, the opportunity is clear. Visibility is only the beginning. The real measure is what comes next — more connections with employers, more opportunities for Syrian talent, stronger capabilities, and ultimately more jobs.

Syria’s first LEAP was a milestone. The connections made in Riyadh are the beginning of the next chapter.
